Delonix Regia
Family :
Kingdom:
Plantae
Common Name :
Royal poinciana, flamboyant, phoenix flower or flame tree
Mature, the medium-sized tree reaches a height of around 12 to 18 meters. The canopy has an umbrella-like appearance and is spherical in shape. Its branches spread out like the claws of a crab. It is, however, smaller. The trunk has a smooth surface. The bark varies in color from pale brown to black. Pupon is the base of the tree. When fully developed, roots frequently protrude from the surrounding soil. The leaves are made up of two alternating layers of feathers with leaflets positioned across from one another. The little leaves are about the same size as tamarind. The leaf plates are formed like a parallelogram. The base is uneven, and the tip is rounded.
